ahh you're living the dream! I would love to one day own a cafe-slash-bookstore but one that is mostly stock full of beautiful art and design coffee table books.

Ooooh. I would love a place like that! Our store is right next to a so-so pizza franchise and I have definitely daydreamed about a cafe taking its place :)

This sounds like a dream job! My husband and I have a dream to open a used bookshop/coffee shop which would be a "third place" for the local community (I didn't have a name for it, so thanks for introducing that concept!) I did used to volunteer at a charity (thrift) store which sold books and I loved it ❤

I hope this dream comes true, for you and for your neighbourhood!

Personally, I think you've got the best of both worlds. As a freelance writer myself, I love my job. But I'm always wishing to do something a little more tangible, as it is. I used to volunteer at a used book store/charity store and I can second that I chose that primarly to be surrounded by books at all time in a safe space.

Working/getting paid for part-time work at the bookstore (or even in a cute coffee shop) is honestly a pipe dream (I live in a concrete jungle that I love, but still, a concrete jungle nonetheless with few options to do that) and I'm so excited to hear more about your life working there! Atb with this new endeavour. x

Thanks so much for linking my article too! My current third space is a newly-opened large public park where I go for walks with my best friend!

You're welcome! I hadn't heard of the concept of third space before I read your post. The park sounds delightful :)
